CDDB Internet database

For Windows 95 thru 98, me see below
Go to START
SETTINGS
CONTROL PANEL

Double-Click the "SYSTEM" Icon

Click the Device Manager Tab
Click show devices by TYPE

look for the CDROM Section

Click on the + sign to display CDROM(s)
dbl-click on the cdrom you wish to stop the auto-play on

Screen looks like this


UNCHECK Auto Insert Notification

Click OK and OK out of all the other boxes that are open

Re-start your computer.

CDDB import should work better now.
